Lubbock, Texas Mission; The First 36 Hours...

Jaron and our family met with Stake President Bill Dalling for Jaron to be set apart as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jaron had spent the day saying see ya later to his friends, and also went to the temple that morning. Here are some of those pictures of temple, goodbyes, friends, packing and the setting apart.

Drop Off Time 2:00 p.m.
 Here are some pictures from our traveling day to Provo, Utah. We left around 8am, and stopped for some lunch at Panda Express for Jaron's favorite food before going to the Provo City Center temple grounds for pictures and time pondering on the excitement, nervousness, and anticipation of the changes coming for our family.

As we drove home, we experienced many tears, and thank goodness we have an awesome Dad. He kept reminding us that this was a happy day. Love him! And, even though we had terrible traffic and lots of delays trying to drive home, I saw two cars with "Be Happy" on their cars! We even had some beautiful lightning as we drove home. Then, this came through Instagram, from Jar's best friend. Whoa, talk about a tear jerker...

7/27/2017 - Our First Email Home!!! (and picture)

Hey Dad. I'm alive!! It's awesome here. Sorry I forgot to email last
night and didn't know we could until class this morning. My comp is
Elder Jenkins and he's a cool kid. We get along pretty well and our
roommates are awesome haha. Elder Williams and Elder Blake are our in
our room and Elder Williams is the funniest person I've ever met haha!
I'm alive and doing well. Already feels like I've been here a week!!
Love you all, will you tell everyone I'm alive! And my room is R6-
417. My P-Day is also on Tuesday. Talk to you soon.
