7-16-18 ~ Puff the magic dragon

"I'm gonna get a little more high, and imma read this!!" - our crazy high neighbor we gave a Book of Mormon to.
(Quote of the Week)

Well we got our transfer calls last night
and I have been asked to stay here in Lubbock for another 6weeks, and my new companion will be Elder Nabrotzky. He is pretty sweet, and was my Zone Leader before I came to Lubbock. He was a personal trainer pre-mission too so I'm in for a world of hurt💪😂excited but gonna miss Elder Pollock. We had some great crazy and wild times!!

This week was pretty good here is the low down of our week.

-Knocked into and talked to lots of stoners.

-Taught lots of lessons, and had lots of lessons fall through

-Casting out demons

-Taught the importance of Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve to a lady......... One of the weirdest lessons that's for sure😅

 -Healing the sick and afflicted

-Drove to the middle of nowhere Idalou, TX to have a lesson that turned into a bash..... So we went to DQ instead!

-Had lots of fun dinner appointments

-Ate lots of good BBQ

I don't have tons of time to write this this week since transfers are tomorrow and we have lots to do!! But here's the testimony builder of the week.
So me and E. Pollock have had this referral that lives out in the boonies and we have been visiting for a while but are just not getting anywhere with her. We have felt good about the area that they live in though. So we decided to knock it one day because we have been cleansing out the people we are teaching to find the more prepared.
We knocked about 10 house total.... Cause that's all that were on the street ha........ And the first 9 ruthlessly slammed the doors right in our face! Reminded me of Fort Stockton. And I was honestly pretty discouraged because we felt so good about it and that was the result. But the last house an oil field worker opened up his door, and actually started talking with us. I still didn't think it would go anywhere, but just thought to start teaching him. So we taught him the full restoration right on his door step and he loved it and had tons of questions. We have an appointment with him this week!
The reason why I wanted to share this is because of the importance of listening to the spirit I realized. Sometimes it's easy to ignore those things. But what I have learned while being out here is to never ignore those small prompting, because those are the things that build out testimony of knowing that Heavenly Father is watching out for us.

Hope y'all are doing good and have a great week!!
Love,
Elder Rose🌷
